The GCAGS technical program, September 21-22 includes two days of exciting oral presentations and poster sessions by leading geologists from both major oil companies and successful independent companies; plus talks and posters from well known and acclaimed academic researchers from Texas and Louisiana universities. The Monday all-convention luncheon will feature Chevron's deepwater Gulf discoveries, and Tuesday luncheons host the CEO of PetroQuest, and experts on rock modeling. Scott Tinker, our own Texas BEG "rock star", chairs a first-ever Geo-Generations panel Tuesday that will talk about perspectives from three generations of geologists. GCAGS will overlap with the AAPG-SEG student Expo (September 22-23) in the George R. Brown Convention center, so expect to meet tomorrow's geoscientists in the Exhibit Hall and technical sessions. Make plans to attend the 2015 GCAGS convention, to boast your knowledge on oil and gas plays and environmental geology, and take advantage of the networking opportunities to enhance your career.
